Installation Instructions

1. Pre-installation check Check the package contents: CV joint body, rubber boot, large and small clamps, CV joint grease, axle circlip, nut and washer. Visually inspect the joint for cracks, dents and rust. Ensure the rubber boot is intact. Check the splines of the axle shaft. Replace the axle if splines are severely worn or chipped. Perform assembly in a clean area to prevent sand and metal debris entering the joint.

2. Installation steps Lift the vehicle and remove the wheel. Unscrew the hub nut, disconnect the tie rod end and take out the axle assembly. Remove old boot clamps and rubber boot, knock off the old CV joint. Clean old grease and dirt from the axle. Fill the new outer CV joint with enough special CV joint grease, and fill the remaining grease into the rubber boot. Fit the small end of the boot onto the axle and install the inner clamp. Align the splines, gently tap the new CV joint into place with a copper hammer. Install a new axle circlip, which must fully lock into the axle groove to avoid falling off. Fit the large end of the boot and tighten the outer clamp. Make sure the boot is not twisted or flattened. Refit the axle into the hub, install the M20×1.5 hub nut and tighten to the manufacturer’s specified torque. Rotate the axle by hand and swing the joint at various angles. It should rotate smoothly without jamming or abnormal noise. Test drive at low speed after installation; perform wheel alignment if necessary.

3. Important notes Only use high-temperature dedicated CV joint grease. Ordinary grease cannot be used. Insufficient lubrication will cause rapid wear of steel balls and races. Always replace the circlip with a new one. Missing circlip may cause the joint to separate while driving and result in serious accidents. The rubber boot determines the service life of the CV joint. A cracked boot allows water and sand in, which will quickly damage the joint. Clamps must be securely tightened. Do not hit the joint housing directly with a heavy hammer, otherwise the internal races may be damaged.

4. Fault prompt Continuous clicking sound when turning → CV joint worn Cracked boot or grease splashing on wheel arch → Replace boot or entire CV joint Excessive radial clearance → Stop using the vehicle immediately

5. Warranty Warranty: 1 year / 30,000–50,000 km. Warranty does not cover damage caused by dirt ingress, insufficient lubrication or improper installation. Suitable for normal road driving, not for heavy off-road or long-time extreme large-angle steering.
